About Käthleen
Käthleen Ilo was born in Tallinn, Estonia. Her parents were Soviet Union champions, and their dancing brought them to the US when Käthleen was just three years old. She danced for several years in the youth category before leaving dancing behind for many years, choosing instead to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Indiana University. After university, Käthleen found her way back to dancing. After a few short partnerships, she met Jonas.

About Jonas
Jonas Kazlauskas was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. He began to pursue dance at the young age of five. He quickly became Lithuanian champion in his age divisions, and at the age of 14, moved to England to pursue dancing even more seriously. He had a very successful seven-year partnership in England, winning multiple titles and representing England at many competitions around the world. After completing his Bachelor's degree at Bournemouth University, he chose to chase his goals at the professional level and move to America, where he met Käthleen.
Jonas and Käthleen had their first tryout in 2014, when Jonas was living in Boston. He made the move to Indiana and they have been dancing together ever since. They trained under Käthleen’s parents, as well as many other incredible coaches. We feel extremely fortunate to have represented the US in so many prestigious competitions around the world.
